Sofia, Bulgaria – 13 May 2025
Karoll AD, acting as Lead Manager, has successfully executed the largest capital increase in the history of the Bulgarian Stock Exchange (BSE) Growth Market BEAM, raising over BGN 12 million for Webit Investment Network AD (WIN). This landmark transaction sets a new record for the segment, exceeding by more than double the previous largest offering on the BEAM market.
A total of 250 shareholders, including several prominent local mutual funds, participated in the capital increase. Through the procedure, 9,723,722 new ordinary dematerialized shares were subscribed at an issue price of BGN 1.25 per share.
With this latest capital raise, WIN has now secured nearly BGN 18 million in total funding, positioning it as the leading capital-raising company on the SME growth market of the BSE. Remarkably, WIN is also the first company in the segment to surpass the EUR 3 million threshold in a single investment round, marking a significant milestone for the BEAM market.
“The interest in WIN's IPO was exceptionally high in 2022, with the offering oversubscribed more than 2.4 times and over 750 investors participating via the BSE,” said Angel Rabadziejski, CEO of Karoll AD, the investment intermediary managing both WIN's IPO and the current capital increase.
The proceeds of over BGN 12 million will enable WIN to make follow-on investments in select companies from its existing portfolio, as well as to invest in new, high-growth technology ventures with global potential.
“WIN’s unique value proposition lies in combining the best of both worlds — the transparency, accessibility, and liquidity of public markets, with the high-return potential of private investments. This builds on Webit's 18-year legacy of global success and unparalleled access to some of the world's most promising high-growth deals,” added Dr. Plamen Rusev, Founder of Webit.
