Investment intermediary Karoll has been recognized for the 23rd consecutive year as the top investment intermediary with the highest number of transactions executed on the Bulgarian Stock Exchange (BSE) within a calendar year. In 2024, Karoll maintained its traditional leadership by completing over 62,500 transactions—accounting for more than 40% of all trades on the BSE trading floor. The award was presented during the official BSE ceremony honoring the top-performing investment intermediaries and issuers of the year.
At the event, investment intermediary Karoll also received the prestigious award for the highest turnover and the largest number of transactions on the market for foreign financial instruments, MTF BSE International.
A third award was presented to Karoll for being the intermediary with the highest number of transactions on the BEAM market, a platform dedicated to the growth of small and medium enterprises (SMEs). This recognition highlights Karoll's continued efforts to support the development of promising and innovative companies through public funding. Since the establishment of the BEAM market on the BSE, Karoll, as a leading manager, has successfully implemented SME financing projects worth over BGN 32.5 million.
In the successful year of 2024, the leading BSE index, SOFIX, recorded a growth of over 17%, supported by increased investor activity, a 24% rise in BSE turnover, and a 14% increase in the number of transactions. Within this strong year for the BSE, Karoll achieved:
- 62,576 transactions on the BSE, representing over 40% of all trades executed on the platform.
- A turnover exceeding BGN 156 million, maintaining a top position in this category.
- The first listing from the BEAM market to the main BSE market, with the IPO of the organic food producer Smart Organic AD, raising close to BGN 25 million.
- The placement of the largest corporate bond issuance traded on the BSE, issued by Allianz Bank Bulgaria AD, valued at EUR 50 million.
